It's the challenge, you know, on the very most basic level.
It's just this enormous challenge with this incredible lifestyle.
That's incredible achievement that it would be to achieve this
this journey that we put on a map,
the gaps that we had to get across and to do all of that without,
you know, using any transport.
And then the world said, well, no, you can't do that.
You're not the kind of guy who could do that.
And they were right.
I wasn't anything special, you know, struggled physically most things.
So, it was, and I kind of knew that I could.
Tools and repair kits for tires
and other bits and pieces that might break.
And I've just noticed today, actually,
that they're starting to spin out.
We'll make it home, but...
29 countries.
But, I mean, those days in South Central America was,
life was a lot simpler.
I didn't have any sponsors,
so there was no responsibility other than myself.
So, a lot of...
Getting across those borders, especially in South America,
you got no money or anything like that,
was you would do what you needed to do.
The bureaucracy and the politics of Poe being the ones
that's taken the biggest bite out of us, for sure.
And dealing with those borders, I mean, Russia cost me a lot of time.
I mean, it was like 10 years to get through Russia.
You know, it took six years to do the Americas
and 10 years to get out of Russia.
Cheers, guys.
I'm walking down to the unit.
I'll go by you and shake his hands.
Thanks guys, appreciate it, appreciate you guys stopping.
It's hard work putting it to use.
Uphill is always a little bit of a,
that's where I get my exercise. Downhill,
I'm trying to keep up with it after that.
We live in an incredibly good world,
like you know, despite what you're seeing on the 24-hour news cycle.
No, no, I mean it's, it is an
The human race is worthy of all the effort.
We are a fantastic species, as far as I'm concerned.
You know, I've met 99.99999% of the very best of humanity.
Every culture, every country has been
the same response, same thing. And that's good news.
And that's something that people need to
remind you of repeatedly, especially lately,
that is the case, especially young people, because
My advice to them would be to get out and travel.
It's one of the best educations you'll ever get.
You've got to know how the other world lives.
