'It's so well-deserved' - Spoelstra on Adebayo's latest milestone and getting Miami's first win of the season

Yeah, it was a really special moment in the locker room. It's so well-deserved. He's done it with an iron will, a work ethic that's unmatched. And just to get into the cage, you know, those are – how many rebounds was it? Now he has 57.94. Yeah, that's a lot of rebounds in traffic, getting hit and banged in there. And to be able to do it and break the record of his brother, you know, UD, it's a really special moment. And he was our inspiring player of the game. He came out really assertive. It's not just about the points, but he was leading us with his will. That's his best superpowers, his competitive spirit. He was sensational defensively, quarterbacking all of our coverages, communicating at every timeout what the coverages were. this is hopefully the template both those guys leading us. I mean, Giannis will have bigger nights than this offensively, but I thought he really played a smart game, allowing the other guys to really have an impact and he asserted himself when he felt like he really needed to. He was a monster on the glass on both ends of it, and It just seemed like whenever there needed to be a momentum play, he had his fingerprints on it at key points in the game. I think the biggest thing is that we've been able to handle some adversity appropriately. Nobody was hanging their heads. When we come in the next day, we were all extremely frustrated about the start of the season. This one game is not all we're looking for. Obviously, we're trying to build something much bigger than that, But you have to deal with what happens in this league and not compound it with losing your spirit. I didn't sense any of that. It really was about just coming together and trying to figure out solutions and how we all could be better. And that was everybody to a man the last several days. And that quality, I think, can serve us well as we continue this long journey of a long season.
