James Kaufman will do his report today.
One injured in a fire at South Carolina nuclear site.
A fire on Wednesday at a South Carolina complex that produced plutonium
and tritium for nuclear weapons left one person with minor injuries,
according to a U.S. Department of Energy spokesperson.
The spokesperson cited officials at the Savannah River site
in South Carolina that includes the Savannah River National Laboratory
where the fire was reported, said the fire was extinguished
and no contamination is expected or has been reported.
Yes, for sure, right there on the river.
The spokesperson said the person injured that was contaminated
was an employee and was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Contaminated? What blew up? One of the reactors? Is that a meltdown?
A site area emergency was declared
and the Federal Aviation Administration restricted flights
in the area all day because of the fire and radiation.
The Savannah River site said all rail, river, and ground travel
in the area was also restricted and that employees were all accounted
for, although we had an emergency shutdown of operations and a shelter
in place was initiated around the surrounding areas as a precaution.
But of course, I told y'all no nuclear, nuclear,
well, energy is clean energy or safe energy.
Neither one of them.
Show me one nuclear plant that's been reclaimed.
Just one.
The facilities reactor was built near Jackson,
South Carolina in the early 1950s.
I told y'all they had about a 45-year shelf life, as I told you.
And, well, they're yet to see any site reclamation
as our current administration are putting up many nuclear sites
in Operation all the data center areas
and all military bases around the U.S. and probably elsewhere.
What a disaster waiting to happen.
What happens when a conventional bomb meets
a small mini nuclear reactor?
Well, I think we all know, a meltdown.
However small it is, it won't be fun.
God bless. Please make sure to share and subscribe.
Always remember that, well, anything is possible in this ---- show.
