It turns out Savannah Chrisley's new fiancé Jason Galanis and her father Todd Chrisley served time in the same prison together. Galanis, 56, and Todd, 57, who were both pardoned by President Trump, served time at federal prison camp in Pensacola, Florida. Galanis was an associate of Hunter Biden, who testified in the Republican impeachment inquiry into former President Joe Biden in March 2024, while he was still behind bars. Although the White House did not explain the rationale for granting clemency to Galanis, Trump's order absolved him of the financial penalties as well as having to serve the remainder of his prison time. Notably, Savannah's parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, were also pardoned by Trump in May 2025. Although it's unclear how Savannah and Galanis met, Savannah became involved in Trump's 2024 presidential campaign, largely through her fight to get her parents released from prison. Also, the two have actually been engaged since December 2025. While Chrisley only shared her engagement news on October 27th, he actually popped the question in December 2025. Chrisley revealed during an October 27th episode of her Unlocked podcast that he proposed to her while they were on a trip to the Cayman Islands, just five months after they started dating.
