🚨 “TOTALITARIANISM HAS DESCENDED ON THAT COUNTRY!” - JEFFREY TUCKER SOUNDS THE ALARM AS BRAZIL DESCENDS INTO POLITICAL CHAOS! Following Brazil's presidential election and Flávio Bolsonaro's dramatic flight to the United States, @jeffreytucker has a dire warning about what's https://t.co/CYrZ894lYb

The country is facing a major political showdown
following a disputed presidential election
allegations of voter fraud
and the dramatic flight of conservative presidential candidate
Flavio Bolsonaro to the United States
President Donald Trump is now questioning the election
results as well
On Sunday
Brazil's electoral court declared left-wing president Lula da
Silva the winner of the presidential runoff
with 51% of the vote compared to 10
compared to 48% for Bolsonaro
That's a margin of more than 4 million
votes
But the results were a surprise to many
observers after Bolsonaro finished ahead in the first round of voting
and Bolsonaro initially refused to concede
He's accusing election officials of improperly changing the
rules during the election
Now, here's what happened, okay?
Let's, let's go according to the timeline
Shortly before polls were scheduled to close
Supreme Court Justice Cristiano Zanin
authorized a two-hour extension of voting in affected
areas. Bolsonaro objected to the last minute
Change, accusing the court of favoring President Lula
And the controversy didn't stop there
Brazil's federal police reported
86 incidents involving possible election crimes during the runoff
including allegations of voting in another person's name
violations of ballot secrecy
and damage to electronic voting machines
Brazil uses electronic voting machines that record votes
digitally without even producing individual voter verified paper
ballots at all. So there's really no way
to audit their election in all actuality
Election authorities also reported that more than
1,500 machines had to be replaced during Sunday's
voting. The electoral court says its integrity tests found no discrepancies
okay
in the machines tested and the reported incidents
have not established that the national results were
manipulated
Now the story's taken an even more dramatic
turn. Bolsonaro has left Brazil
as we discussed with Cara Castronova
and arrived in Florida
He says he'll go on to Washington DC after defying
defying an
order from a Brazilian Supreme Court justice to
surrender his passport
Bolsonaro traveled with his family through Argentina
and Ecuador before arriving
at an airport near Miami
The order to surrender his passport came as
Brazilian authorities investigate allegations of money laundering and corruption
Of course, Lavia says he did nothing wrong
Mayor Jair Bolsonaro, his father
also traveled to Florida following his
own election defeat to Lula four years ago
Meanwhile, President Trump is also weighing in
He called Brazil's election
quote, very strange, as you heard in the first segment
His
the
Trump administration has confirmed that Bolsonaro and his
family will be allowed into the United States
Lula has condemned Bolsonaro's departure
and the controversy threatens to create another diplomatic
confrontation between Brazil and the United States
And the central question is whether
Bolsonaro will continue the fight to Brazil's
to convince Brazil's courts that the reported election
irregularities affected the result
Until then
Lula remains the declared winner of an election
that has left Brazil deeply divided
with the dispute
dispute now spilling across international borders
And that even goes with the censorship
it sounds like Lula
plans on imposing even more censorship
on Brazil after the election
I know several reporters from Brazil who had
already been targeted
In years past, so he plans even more of a crack
crackdown. What do you expect to see?
Yeah, that's, well, I think that was
somebody told me that that was one of
his first statements after he won
was that we're going to crack
crackdown on disinformation and alternative media
And already you're seeing
Brazilians are afraid
to speak out on social media
It's one reason I'm posting
posting about it, because they can't
So
Yeah, I, I, I have friends in Brazil
okay? So, I'll just say plainly
I do
but they cannot speak right now
because if they do
they risk getting a knock at the door and being
being arrested and thrown into
into the, into prison. So, it's
totalitarianism has descended on that country so rapidly
it's just, it's, it's shocking and, and truly terrifying
So, yeah, so you're, you're, you're not in a position where
people are able to even tell the truth
because if, if they do, they can be arrested
right? So, I mean, a post on X
I'm even reluctant to explain to
you know, to, to whom I'm speaking
because, you know, I, I don't want
I don't want to get anybody in trouble
it's, it's, it's, it's that bad
And, you know
it puts the US in this very difficult situation
because
The US is a kind of guardian of
of freedom, not a perfect practitioner of it
I must say, but nonetheless
we
find ourselves very often in the position of
being sort of the upholder of
of freedom and rights
however imperfectly
And you see something so brazen
and horrible going on in this wonderful
thrilling, civilized, prosperous country of, of Brazil
and you want to do something about it
but I think the options are limited
What
