Will we see our beloved pets again in Heaven? 🥹🐶🐱 Many famous Protestant Christians, including C.S. Lewis, John Wesley, and Billy Graham, expressed hope that animals may have a place in God's eternal plan.
📖 The Bible gives us reasons to hope:
✨ Romans 8:21 — Creation itself will be set free from its bondage to decay.
🦁 Isaiah 11:6–9 — A beautiful vision of peace among animals in God's future kingdom.
🌈 Revelation 21:5 — “Behold, I make all things new.”
🙏 John Wesley believed animals would be restored in God's renewed creation.
❤️ C.S. Lewis explored the possibility that beloved animals might share in eternal life through their relationships with humans.
🕊️ Billy Graham offered hope that God could provide animals in Heaven to make our happiness complete.
The Bible doesn't explicitly promise that we will see our individual pets again, but it doesn't explicitly rule out that possibility either.
🐾 Maybe the love we share with our pets is a beautiful reminder of God's goodness and the hope of a creation made new.
If you've ever loved a pet like family, hold on to hope and trust in God's perfect love. ❤️🙏

This video explores whether pets go to heaven and if owners will be reunited with them, examining various theological viewpoints from Catholic and Protestant traditions, as well as the speaker's personal conclusion.
Will we see our pets again after they die,
and do our pets go to heaven?
Now, these are a few questions that I'll be answering in today's video.
I'll be reading Catholic perspective, Protestant perspective,
and then I'll be giving my own perspective.
Now, let's start out with the Catholic perspective.
St. Thomas Aquinas taught that animals
do not have immortal souls in the same way human beings do,
so he did not believe pets go to heaven
in the same sense that people do.
Now, it would take forever for me
to explain everything he thought about this,
but basically to sum it up, he believed that pets could
not go to heaven in the same sense as humans do,
because he believed a pet's soul is different than a human's soul.
But that doesn't mean that all Catholics
believe pets don't go to heaven,
because literally Pope Paul VI said,
One day we'll see our animals again in the eternity of Christ.
Paradise is open to all of God's creatures.
And yes, that was word for word,
and that's not the only Catholic that believed pets went to heaven.
Saint Isaac the Syrian believed that God's mercy extended
to all creation, including animals.
So, now that you've heard the Catholic perspective,
let's get to the Protestant perspective.
Famous pastor Billy Graham said, quote,
God will provide us with everything we need
to be happy in heaven, and if animals are
necessary to make us completely happy there,
you can be confident he will arrange for them
to be with us.
And he wasn't the only Protestant with hopeful beliefs.
C.S. Lewis said, The man will know his dog,
and the dog will know his master.
Now, Lewis was speculating and not declaring a certainty,
but his view is particularly
relevant if you're hoping to see your pet again.
Another famous Protestant
who believed pets went to heaven was John Wesley, and in his
view animals would be restored in God's future creation.
Some people also turn to Bible verses,
like Romans 8.21, Isaiah 11.6-9, and Revelation
21.5.
And now I'll give you my perspective after seeing
the Catholic perspective and the Protestant
perspective.
I tend to believe that Aquinas might be right
in the fact that animals don't have souls
and therefore can't experience heaven like we do,
but I also believe Billy Graham in
saying that animals will be there if we want them
to be there if it makes us happy.
So maybe pets can't go to heaven
in the same sense we do, but if it requires pets
to be in heaven for us to be happy, then I wouldn't put it past God.
Anyways, share your opinions with me in the comments
because I'm really interested to
