Waffle cake is a dessert that can be made within a few minutes. They are the classic treat that every kid in a Eastern Europe has tried. Dulce de leche is a great addition to crispy light waffle cakes, they taste like candy. These Ukrainian waffle cakes are simply adorable. It is one of the easiest cakes ever, the only thing is finding those wafers online. I’ve only been able to find them at Russian, Polish or European stores. Look around; you probably have one nearby. This cake is so amazing, it reminds me of my childhood and we used to have it quite often. There are so many variations of this cake, but I hope you enjoy mine! I also picked colourful waffles, because they look so adorable. Freeze waffles until they are ready to be served. When they are frozen, they taste like caramel ice cream. Trust me on the freezing part, you will love this tip.
Welcome to my channel Alla's Yummy Food.
I'm so excited to be sharing this awesome recipe with you.
It's a Russian waffle cake.
It's so yummy, so amazing,
super duper tasty and it's been requested so much on my channel.
I had to go home to Latvia and go to the supermarket
and see if I can find these waffles because
basically you can't make this cake if you don't have the waffles.
But if you have Eastern European stores,
Russian stores, Lithuanian, Polish and so forth, you
might be lucky and you will be able
to find these kind of waffles there which
is very exciting and so yeah guys I'll show you
this recipe really really easy
so yummy it tastes like honey cake honestly like
a cheat version of it and
I hope you enjoyed this recipe make sure you subscribe
to my channel I want to
reach hundred thousand subscribers
that's my next goal so subscribe click
the notification bell
and let's get started we're going to start with our
cream so into your stand mixer
with a whisk attachment add your unsalted
butter which is at the room temperature
and then you want to whisk the butter
for good five minutes until it's nice
and smooth and sort of fluffy and then
I'm adding my dulce de leche
or you can use caramel you can boil condensed milk
and use that whatever you have whatever caramel
do you have in the house will do
and just keep adding that slowly one tablespoon at a time
and keep whisking
it until everything kind of comes together you will see
that the color will start to change
and depending on how strong your caramel is that's
the color of the cream you're gonna have
make sure you scrape down the bowl
so there is no bits of butter left at the bottom and you mix in
everything together when it's ready you will see it looks like
that your caramel can be thicker
or thinner it's absolutely fine
so don't worry it's gonna work either way guys and girls i have
my recipe on my website at allasyummyfood.com you'll
find full ingredients and also directions
on how to make this and also you'll be able
to find loads of other recipes that i do for my channel
and just click through click on a picture
and you'll be able to see the whole video with the
directions and the full recipe in English
and Russian languages here I've got some wafers you
can probably find them at any Russian
or Eastern European store or maybe at your local supermarket
if you're lucky but these can be difficult to find
so if you have a source you found online
do leave a link below for everybody to see.
So I like to spread quite a generous amount of my cream
my caramel cream onto each wafer
because I like the cake to be super moist and and very crunchy
at the same time. So just take your cake layer
and place it onto your presentation dish and then add
a generous amount of your cream.
I'm using a palette knife to spread it all around. I found
that it's the easiest way and the fastest
so just spread it around cover all the bits and make sure
you get the sides too and just keep repeating it until all
the layers are done make sure you don't
miss a single layer and actually in this package I had 22 wafers
and these are quite small so if
you have a bigger ones it should be enough
for about eight large ones or 20 small ones so
the cream is enough for for that kind of amount I have tested it out
then I also cover the cake
around with a cream on sides too
and for decoration you can use anything that you like I'm adding some
dark chocolate which I've shredded it's very important
to leave the cake for two hours in a
room temperature so that all the caramel soaks into each layer
and then put your cake into the
fridge for about five hours after
when the cake is done you can take it out just before serving
and when you cut through the cake it should be nice
and soft and very easy to cut but use
serrated knife because otherwise
with the normal knife it's going to be quite hard to cut through
and then when you take it out you should be able
to see all these delicious crunchy layers
soaked with my caramel cream inside
and you've got that chocolate on the side with a strawberry
oh guys this cake really brings me to my childhood it
was one of the best cakes I've ever had
as a child and anybody from eastern europe will hopefully reminisce
with me and you can see that
it cuts through really really well loads
and loads of delicious layers it actually tastes a little
bit like honey cake but just like a cheat version
of it i hope you try this recipe guys make sure
subscribe and like this video and i'll see you soon
