Lamont Paris discusses South Carolina MBB exhibition win over Campbell

Colonial Life Arena, good to be back. I thought it was, we play these games for a reason, these exhibition games, and we've gotten a lot of different styles between the exhibition games and the scrimmages. And so we've been tested in a lot of different ways. So there's been some good stuff. But, you know, I thought we got out of sorts a little bit with a lot of guys trying to do a lot of things. We had a, there was a way, a particular way that we would have our best successes against this team. And when we did that, we scored well. And when we got out of that, we didn't score as well. But they were ready to go and ready to play and excited and energetic. And they played harder than us, especially early on in the game. But, you know, we got things together, settled down a little bit. We had a couple guys end up getting some extended minutes, not only due to an injury, but then also because that group was the most sound group, and so we just broke that group for a while. But, again, you get into these games like this, and, you know, we had a situation occur at the end of it, and we had a specific coverage on, and we failed in that coverage. and it's so if we had won by 25 you're going to maybe figure that coverage failure out on the road at Tennessee when you need it and then you don't know how to it's too late to correct it so now we'll be able to correct that that's really the beauty in these types of games.
