Chyulu's Brand New Baby Girl, Chili | Sheldrick Wildlife Trust

On the morning of 21st October 2026, by dawn’s early light, Chyulu had a surprise waiting for us. A distance away, a mother could be seen with a newborn and what looked like a nanny. A closer look revealed that it was Chyulu with a tiny baby girl, in the company of Lulu, who was playing the role of nanny. Chili, as we have named the little one, is Chyulu's third child and our 96th confirmed grandchild. (Lulu, the eldest daughter of ex-orphan Lualeni, is another SWT grandchild.)
