Lake Garda is one of Italy’s most popular holiday destinations, especially for German tourists... but there’s so much more to discover than beautiful lake views! 🇮🇹

In this video, we explore the Lake Garda region on a food tour and sightseeing adventure, discovering charming Italian towns, incredible scenery, delicious local food, and the kind of landscapes that make you want to stay forever. From the crystal-clear blue water and dramatic mountains to picturesque lakeside promenades, we experience what makes this corner of northern Italy so special.

And of course, no Italian adventure would be complete without some food! 🍕 We sample local specialties, explore the region’s culinary delights, and take in the atmosphere of the towns around the lake. We also head to Verona, one of Italy’s most beautiful historic cities, to see what it has to offer.

This is our rather positive spin on the region, however the region is also clearly a case of overtourism, Italian bureaucrazy and italian "way of doing things". And we were clearly surprised by some of that experience.

So is it really worth all the hype? And why do so many Germans return here year after year?
