​Snails stop moving for many days periodically when they need to stop & build up and grow their shell.
It's a long process. ​You can put in pieces of bird cuttlefish bone.

Add crushed coral or oyster shell/cuttle bone. It will bring up the hardness and give them the calcium they need.
