And maybe none bigger than whether or not Sarkeesian and Arch Manning
are going to be a topic of conversation for the rest of this season.
Here is Ole Miss getting three
and a half points on the road against Texas,
who, by the way, also just lost the best defensive player
who was leading the country in sacks.
He's done for the rest of the year.
I mean, it's put up a shut-up time for both these teams, is it not?
Yeah, Simmons was really good for Texas,
and I still think he projects as a top-five pick,
edge rusher in the NFL draft.
You know, it's a weird dynamic with this whole Arch Manning thing.
It really is, because it seems like what's funny is that the guys
who know the most about this
are seemingly saying that maybe it's
not his fault and it's the coach's fault.
It just seems like we're constantly making excuses
for Arch Manning, and maybe it is true.
I don't know enough about the game
and what goes on to make that determination,
But at least the analysts are saying that he's
not putting him in the best position to succeed.
Look, I mean, they hired Sarkeesian.
They put him in that spot.
Is it fair to say that if Texas loses this game
that he won't be the coach next season?
I do.
I think that that's fair because at that point,
Texas is staring down three losses already or whatever they have.
And this would be back to back if they ended up losing to Mississippi
and not knowing much, you know,
certainly as much about handicapping these games as the others.
the way that I look at it is it does appear to me
that Mississippi is the better team of the two
Mississippi got handed to it by Florida
and that was it I mean they beat LSU they beat they won
the rest of their games they're back inside the top 10
and I think that them losing to the Gators
was a little bit of an overreaction they had one
bad game where they absolutely could have beat the
Gators in that game too the Gators played
their best football game of the season they ended up
beating Mississippi
so uh you know to me I I thought going into the season Texas was really
overrated I thought Ohio State dominated that game
that they lost to Texas the first game of
the season and and to me I think that the Longhorns
are a fringe top 25 team if that I don't even see
that so give me Mississippi this week to at least keep this game close
and they have the better
quarterback of the two in my opinion
in fact Chambliss is probably the only quarterback of
all these highly touted guys Joe going into the season
that's actually doing it I mean think of
Moore on Oregon and Manning on uh on Texas
and some of the others now look Menzies you come on he's
done a really nice job i get that and there have been some others
but uh these highly this this
best quarterback draft ever that was supposed
to be coming up after the season i don't think is
i think so either i mean i i think this could be it
because i really do think and by the way it's
flip side Ole Miss has to win this game if we're going
to take them serious for a national championship
and there is no you have the better quarterback
the better offense there is no reason and the
you have a defensive minded head coach you played
a great defensive game last against Missouri
there is no excuses here like you have to win
this game against a wounded texas team that
doesn't have an awful lot of confidence right now without
their best defensive player
Thank
you.
