Seared Ahi Tuna Steaks | Restaurant Quality In 10 Minutes!

These Sesame Crusted Seared Ahi Tuna Steaks look like something you'd order at a nice seafood restaurant, but you can make them right in your own kitchen in about 10 minutes!
The tuna gets a quick coating of soy sauce, toasted sesame oil, and a little honey, followed by a generous crust of black and white sesame seeds. Then it's straight into a screaming hot cast iron skillet for a quick sear on each side.
The result is a beautiful toasted sesame crust with that gorgeous rare pink center. It's one of those recipes where a few simple ingredients and the right technique make all the difference.
🛒 Ingredients:
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon honey
2 (8oz) ahi tuna steaks (about 1 inch thick)
2 tablespoons white sesame seeds
2 tablespoons black sesame seeds
2 tablespoons cooking oil
I love serving these tuna steaks with white rice, a little wasabi, and some steamed edamame. It's a quick, sushi-inspired dinner that feels like a special occasion meal.
