Alright, heading into the weekend with a little bit
of messy weather into parts of the province
and the potential for some accumulating snow
in parts of northwestern Manitoba.
So clouds build in, there's an area
of low pressure that will start to push in
and this will likely bring us some showers through
the later part of the evening through the Red River Valley,
pushing into northwestern Ontario
by the time we're into the overnight hours.
But you'll see some rain starting into parts of central,
into parts of northern Manitoba
as we get through the evening as well.
This likely as it meets some cooler air transitioning
into some freezing precipitation
for places like Lynn Lake
and into the territorial border along the Hudson Bay coast as well
before it becomes a snow event for northern Manitoba.
Locally, some parts of northwestern Manitoba have the potential
of getting up to 20 or even 40 centimeters of snow
by the time the weekend is done.
For places like Flin Flon and Thompson,
this is probably a couple centimeters at best,
but I'll keep you updated as we get through
the later part of the day here.
So as we get through the afternoon hours, another warm day,
21 for Winnipeg, 21 through Brandon, Melitta, starting
to cool down into northern Manitoba, 6 in Thompson, 5 in Gillam.
Your long range looks like this.
Saturday will start around 13 degrees.
Temperature falls to around 10.
Very windy as we get through the day across the province.
7 the high for Tuesday and single digits
and much more seasonal temperatures as we get into next week
with a high of 5 by the time we get to Tuesday.
