We've

stuff.
Mucho
stuff.
Like
pike
fish.
Little
tiny
seahorses.
Lots of
shrimp.
Pike
fish.
This
one. Poo
bees.
Flounder.
Little
starfish.
Pike
fish.
Shrimp.
Guess
what
I have
here.
Giant,
giant
seahorse.
Hi guys.
We're headed back. It was too hard to collect and fill,
so we decided to do it on our way back.
You can see some of the stuff we got. There's the little flounder.
We'll see more of it when we get back to the shop
and get it all in the tanks.
Lots of shrimp, the seahorses, and we've got two. That's a male.
We also got the female that was breeding with them.
So we've got this pair of Erectus,
which is the true giant seahorse,
and they get upwards of a foot tall. He's about 7 to 8 inches,
so they get substantially bigger than that.
that was a perfect delight catching him there's
a little tiny tiny little puffer i mean uh yeah
we did get puffers also little spiny box puffers
so a lot of cool stuff there's a a bigger pike
fish but these are all in a bucket the water is cold
so they'll be all right until we get back
They'll be okay in here.
It'll be about an hour.
You see all the shrimp swimming around.
These are a very tiny, long, thin grass shrimp.
Don't know what they're called.
They're green and brown.
And I have never been able to keep them alive in an aquarium.
Just no luck at all.
But we're going to try again.
We've got a new setup.
up. We'll see if we can keep them in it.
So that's today's catch. I think we're going
to head back to the shop to get this stuff all put up.
We may go out later. We still
need to get out and catch pygmy sunfish.
We've got maybe as many as 10 pygmy seahorses.
So that'll be able,
we'll be able to fill a couple of orders for seahorses.
That'll be good. And just lots of nice stuff. So it was a good day.
And I think we'll try it again sometime soon.
Try to get out again.
Meanwhile, here's where we are.
We're on Lemon Day, which is north
of Montegorda. It borders Englewood.
So we're actually in Englewood,
which is south of Dennis about 15 miles.
So not far. Once we get back,
we'll put in and I'm going to race out, race back to the shop.
That is the gateway to Boca, that bridge. So under the bridge
and down another few miles and you're in Boca.
That's Stump Pass right there. That's right.
That's called Stump Pass, just on the other side of the bridge.
And I've collected deer in the past,
but it's gotten very muddy and hard to do anything much there.
and this is the on the other side of that land is
the gulf so it's a spit of land that separates
the gulf from this bay
that's maybe half
a mile wide no more it's
a barrier pretty
day out today
it's a little cold it's probably 65 degrees
or so the water was 60 degrees which was not bad it
was bearable I got wet up to my top
to my legs I guess did not go into my waist really didn't
want to get my core cold
but we did all right we did just fine we're able to catch a bunch of
little seahorses not a lot of them a few enough
to be able to do an order or two get get some
people started with pygmies
and we got this wonderful big pair of erectus of big male and
female that obviously were spawning
so it'll be nice to get those set up get them to somebody
who wants to try to spawn erectus they they breed real easily uh
and if you're set up to do it
it's pretty easy to feed the babies.
I've got a few customers who are who are
raising up baby pygmies right now
and a lot of people have raised the erectus.
It's a pretty easy one to grow out.
You just got to have food for it, which means
hatching brine shrimp.
They're able to take baby brine shrimp when they hatch.
so what we're doing now is we're coming up
on Indian Mound Park which is where
we're gonna put in where we came out
of and we'll go in there and get some of
this stuff I'll bring my my van up to the boat to the dock
and we'll we'll get
the fish in it and the nets
and race back to the shop the water is cold so
they're going to be all right in there.
We could put them in a tray. I think I'm going to be
satisfied to leave them in the bucket.
I might pour some in the tray. We'll see how it goes.
They'll do better in the tray because it'll be more aeration,
more air exchange.
I might be able to hook up a pump. I don't know.
Anywho, so here we are in Lemon Bay
On a pretty, pretty day.
Thomas
at the helm.
Captain back
to shore.
It's very nice.
This which is a 17 foot, 16 foot is a 17 foot.
Yeah, with the nice
147 route.
Great, great motor.
All right, so that's an up-to-date report.
Half a dozen of you there, please.
Well, this will become a video shortly,
we'll be able to get it out to everybody
so be checking in with you
this evening maybe earlier if we're able
to get everything in the tanks and show
up or it might pop up until tomorrow morning
for them
See you all later, thanks to have you visit, good to be able to do this
