Some cities don’t choose between past and future, they exist in both at the same time. Seoul is one of them, where ancient palaces sit in the shadow of a constantly evolving skyline.

From above, Seoul reveals a layered urban world. Dense districts stretch along the Han River, surrounded by mountains that seem to hold the city in place. Glass towers rise beside traditional rooftops, and the rhythm of highways, bridges, and neighborhoods creates a constant sense of movement.

We wanted this film to explore that contrast between heritage and hyper-modernity. Instead of focusing only on iconic landmarks, we followed the flow of the city, how it expands along the river, how it climbs into the hills, and how different districts each carry their own identity.

Seoul doesn’t feel like a city frozen in time or rushing into the future, it feels like both happening simultaneously, in perfect tension.
