Greek Islands in watercolor by Pantelis Zografos, 1949 / 𝄞 Vivaldi
🎨 Pantelis D. Zografos, born in Athens, Greece, is a contemporary master of watercolor landscapes.
He is widely recognized for his bright, sun-bleached depictions of the Greek islands and coastal villages.
His extensive portfolio covers distinct areas across Greece, including Santorini, Mykonos, Corfu, Meteora, and the Acropolis of Athens. Though landscape painting is his specialty, he has occasionally returned to his roots - notably completing a Byzantine icon commission of the Archangel Gabriel for the North Carolina Museum of History.
