Oh my gosh! One of my friends asked if it was possible to do a balloon dip / smash on a vase. I found a rectangular vase with some really nice smooth sides and figured I'd give it a try! I used my favorite colors for flowers; white, yellow, orange, magenta, red, and burgundy. I taped off the sides and just did the two larger faces of the vase. I let the paint dry on the first side for a couple of days and then covered it to protect it while I was painting the second side.

I had lots of paint and also did two sets of dipped coasters, one with just my regular dip technique and the other with the balloon dip.

I really want to make sure that the sides are protected; I think the paint will peal off really easily. I think I will try and finish it with resin to keep the paint adhered to the vase and also protect the paint long term. I will update once it is finished!
