'It's been awesome' - New Orleans Saints get set to play first NFL game in France

Yeah, it's been a great experience for our players. It was great for us to get here essentially Monday morning. Our guys had a little bit of time to get acclimated, spend a little time in the city and in the surrounding areas. And, you know, it's been a lot of fun. And so I've really enjoyed this. Our team gets to spend a little bit more time together. We get to experience something unique. It's a really unique and grateful opportunity that we have to be here and be a part of the first NFL game here in France. And so it's been awesome. Yeah, it's a unique opportunity and a special opportunity. um you know Louisiana, New Orleans has such a French influence there and so uh we feel very tied to both communities um you know i think our guys have been really excited looking forward to this opportunity and they've enjoyed it um a ton our guys have had a chance to explore a little bit obviously the middle of this week is a big work week for us we gotta get into our routine but uh you know it's been great it's been great amenities great uh you know people helping support us and allowing us to have a great week here yeah wins uh wins are important ultimately that's that's the ultimate result we're all looking for and so uh you know i think it was a it was a good win for our team a resilient win i think this has been awesome coming out here together i mean our practice was great today we had you know a couple rainstorms in the middle that at various times and i think uh you know our guys didn't bat an eye they were fired up juiced up having a ton of fun there was a couple rainbows in there so uh it was a great day i think offensively um just a really sound scheme aaron's done this for a really long time um you know he's obviously one of the best quarterbacks to ever play in this league and he has a really good um you know control of this entire offense and so uh you can't give him anything easy you know and that's the biggest thing is if you give him an opportunity he's going to see it he's going to take advantage of it and so we just got to play really sound football play really uh clean assignment sound football to give us the best opportunity and then on defense um you know to me this is a physical big front uh they're doing an excellent job stopping the run they got obviously edge rushers that can be wrecked games in the pass game from a protection standpoint, and then their back end is doing a good job of contesting the football. So I think this is going to be a fun challenge for us. Yeah, it's different. Obviously, this was probably the best game to come to. The atmosphere was electric. It's a little bit different. Our stadiums are bigger, but, I mean, the chants nonstop the whole game. It was crazy. I'd be annoyed if I was playing. It would make me mad, but it was amazing to experience. It's the first NFL game being played in France. It's an opportunity for all of us. I want to win. We'll always have that to brag about that we won the first NFL. The first American football game played in France. We had a chance to win it, and then we'll be a part of history. I don't have a routine yet. It's only my second time, but I think hitting some of the main spots and seeing some familiar faces has been cool. I saw the same driver that we had, a lot of the same media members, and kind of hugging those people and trying some new food spots, I think is one of the coolest parts. But, you know, from this point forward, we're kind of business mode right now, so it was fun for a couple days to be able to experience it. The coolest part was is going into the locker room and you see all the French national players, Pogba, Mbappe, all these guys that are just like the historic and what you're talking about, the history of what's been played there in the rugby, and you see kind of all that stuff that's been on the wall. So that's really cool, and being a part of that kind of gives you chills that way. So you obviously get to look and see the environment, but for quarterback and offense, you get inside the stadium, you're looking for the game clock, looking for the clocks and stuff like that. So I think that was my favorite part last time.
