'We haven't been affected in any way' - Saints GM on Paris riots and security concerns ahead of NFL game in capital

We've been looking forward to this trip since it was announced earlier this year and now that we're here, I just want to say the facilities, the accommodations, the service, the hospitality has been fantastic and we're looking forward to practicing and preparing today in the next three days and playing the game on Sunday against Pittsburgh Steelers. Yeah. Okay. I understood. I understood where she's coming from. And I think every once in a while, we all need to be a little uncomfortable. That's okay. Yeah. Well, I'm not going to have an evaluation of him that I would share with you at this point. You know, that's for later down the road. He's, like I said, 23 games into his career and with the rebuilding team. Let's not forget that. You know, but I like what I see. yeah um he's improving he is not going to practice um this week and but he is improving and we feel like we're getting closer now i don't have a specific timetable for that yet but we're encouraged i think there's several reasons from our standpoint the first is we just feel like it's better for the players to get acclimated to the time change and the environment that they're going to be playing in another part of that is look we want this to be a good experience you You know, if we're going to come overseas, come to a great country like this, we want the players to be able to have some experiences that are positive for the week. And so we want to be ambassadors for our sport, for our organization, and it's hard to do that in a short two- or three-day period, and we have a much better opportunity to do that over the course of a week. And we had a lot of players do, I think, appearances yesterday and do some various activities. I got to go to a soccer game last night, excuse me, a football game last night. Congratulations to PSG on a great win. It was a fantastic experience. Myself and some of our staff people and some of our players got to go to that. And I want to thank PSG for that opportunity. And it was a really memorable experience and a great game. Yeah, we've had a lot of discussion about that. It's not really discussion. We get informed about how it's viewed. Look, we have a lot of confidence in the security team that's in place, local security, the league, and our own security people. And so far, we haven't been affected in any way. Yeah, so hopefully that stays that way.
