Storm Tracker 2, the storm there off
the coastline near Point Conception is going to make a path
across California and continue to push east,
taking most of the moisture with it towards
Southern California and the desert southwest.
Now, the desert southwest, notice the flow here
coming in from the south, going to tap
into some tropical moisture there from Baja, California and
areas of Gulf of California.
So areas over Arizona, flood watch, flood watch over parts
of Southern California as well.
Nothing for us, although, again,
going back to the Monterey County area
in those burn scar areas,
we do have some concern
because it does look like
when it comes ashore tomorrow afternoon,
areas near Big Sur, Monterey,
could actually be with that threat of thunderstorms.
Wednesday, 5 o'clock in the afternoon,
notice from Monterey South
towards Southern California, Los Angeles,
over into the Sierra.
Foothills as well as the Sierra Mountains,
we're expecting it to turn over to snow
about 8,000 feet and then off towards the desert southwest
in the four corners we've got moisture
but look at the bay area not much going on there
and as i put it into motion thursday morning we
could have a little bit more fall before it pushes out
on thursday night so with that said
for tomorrow you may may not need an umbrella maybe
a little bit of rain gear if you are going
to be out and about for most of the day
when it comes to rainfall amounts half inch or less for
the Bay Area. And I think this accumulation graphic
is a little bullish. I don't know if
we're even going to see that much.
But the farther south you go, definitely could see one,
two inches of rainfall. And caught up in a thunderstorm,
you could see closer to three,
four inches of rainfall all said and done.
Tomorrow morning, temperatures will range
from a chilly 45 in Santa Rosa to 52 in Livermore
and Santa Cruz looking at 51.
Our afternoon highs for tomorrow, a lot like today,
72 for Antioch, 68 in Oakland, 66 in San Francisco.
And your extended forecast here,
going to hold steady with the temps Wednesday, Thursday.
A little warmer on Friday as dry weather returns to the Bay Area.
And in time for the weekend, 60s at the coast,
low 70s around the Bay, upper 70s for inland cities.
Back to you.
