Get ready for a brand new adventure.
Once upon a time, when horses walked on two legs
and the elephant was still the king of the jungle,
a terrible famine spread across the animal kingdom.
In the heart of the jungle lived a kind and
caring daddy lion and mummy
lioness with their two playful cubs.
Sadly, the famine became so severe that mummy lioness passed away,
leaving Daddy Lion to care for the cubs all by himself.
One night, very late, Daddy Lion was feeding his cubs when suddenly,
quickly, Lionel put the little food away
and went to answer the door.
But Lionel had no idea who was waiting on the other side.
Standing at his doorstep was a very hungry elephant.
He looked weak and tired, and his voice was barely a whisper.
Dear Lion, I am very hungry. Please, can you give me something to eat?
Could you spare a little food?
Lionel had very little, but he chose to share what he had.
Lionel, thank you.
During this time of scarcity, your kindness means everything.
He ate the food and returned home. In his heart, he promised himself,
I will surely repay Lionel.
Perhaps I will even give him twice what I owe.
But Ellie did not know that the famine was about to become much worse.
But the famine became even worse.
Many animals left the jungle in search of grass and water.
He whispered,
if only I could find an antelope.
Exhausted and weak, he closed his eyes and fell asleep.
Meanwhile, Lionel
and his cubs grew hungry again.
This is day six. Perhaps I should wait a little longer,
so I do not miss Ellie.
Lionel waited until night fell. Then day seven came.
But Ellie had not returned,
could wait no longer.
He takes his first step
into the jungle, could wait no longer.
He decided to visit Ellie himself.
Lionel saw that Ellie was awake,
but he was far too weak to speak or move.
Dear Ellie, I gave you the food meant for my children
because I did not want you to go hungry.
A full week has passed, and all the food we had is gone.
Ellie was too weak to speak, but his heart overflowed with gratitude.
In his thoughts, he said, I will never forget this kindness.
With his keen eyesight,
Lionel soon discovered something that could help his new friend,
and Lionel was determined to help Ellie once more.
With his keen eyesight,
Lionel soon returned with two fresh bamboo leaves for Ellie.
Then he went back into the jungle to find food for his cubs.
Little by little,
Ellie regained his strength and with every step he took.
He remembered the kindness Lionel had shown him.
Lionel, you repaid my debt
with kindness instead of anger.
You helped me when I had nothing to give you.
You showed me that true greatness comes from kindness.
You have shown me great leadership and courage in adversity.
You will best lead us and so, Lionel, I give you my crown.
You are worthy of being king of the jungle and all the animals.
And so, this is how the lion became the king of the jungle.
Hooray for King Leo! Hooray!
Children, always remember, true greatness is not shown by how much
we have, but by how kindly we treat others when we have very little.
one tries to show us ambition.
Now let's watch to see what he learned in his journey.
It's all I can carry without losing it.
Seeing is not the same as holding.
I'm so busy trying to get everything. I lost everything.
When he was pleased, he gained a friend and something important.
Next morning, he went for another mango hunt.
This time, he did something rather different.
Just one. I can enjoy one.
And so, they realized the secret.
The best part of any journey is the friends we make along the way.
Every morning, just after sunrise,
the proud peacock made his entrance into the village market.
He did not walk. He arrived.
Make space. Beauty deserves room.
The peacock loved the attention.
He believed the whole market was simcock.
Watch how
you spread
your feathers,
will you?
Hmm.
Small losses.
Why do you shine so loudly if you cannot stand gently?
Because I was born to be seen.
Yes, but the market was built to feed.
The peacock went home that night and had a rather disturbing dream.
By morning, he decided to make
something what's more accommodated.
And for once, the whole village was shocked, yet the way pleased.
The peacock was still beautiful,
but now his beauty had learned how to belong.
On a beautiful African savannah lived a giraffe named Nala.
She was very tall, very gentle, and very patient.
Wow!
Being tall can certainly be useful.
This mud is much stickier than I expected.
Don't worry, Kido.
Don't worry, Kido. Stay still.
I think, uh, try stepping over here.
The ground is stronger.
It worked!
Happened!
Nala is...
You have to help her!
You can do it, Nala!
I thought being big meant you didn't need anyone.
And I thought being small meant you couldn't make a big difference.
I guess we were both wrong.
Every animal understood the power of unity.
Sometimes we need to bend down to help someone.
And sometimes we need to be asked for help.
