SpaceX's new Starship Super Heavy V4 totally Solved V3 Problems!
We've had three V3 flights.
So what's the most prominent problem?
Well, it's clearly the engine issue in the Super Heavy. Reliability remains a big question.
So how do we address those problems?
That's where the V4 might be the next step to further improve Starship. Signs of such a version are emerging.
What makes it special?
Let's find out.
It could be said that, by some coincidence, SpaceX built the Starship program with each year representing a different version. 2023 and 2024 were the years of V1, with 6 flights; 2025 was the year of V2, with 5 flights; and 2026 was the year of V3.
And there may be many more exciting things to come. So, you should definitely subscribe if you haven't already, and then visit the channel regularly for continuous updates on SpaceX and the aerospace industry.
SpaceX's new Starship Super Heavy V4 totally Solved V3 Problems!
Of the versions, V3 represents a major change in the Super Heavy and Ship, addressing the problems of the two previous versions. The problems in V1 were more in the Ship, while in V2 they were in both stages. A key highlight is that both versions have booster landings using Chopsticks, and Ship has begun its return journey, although the results haven't been very successful.
By V3, Ship has seen the biggest improvement. Not only was it able to return in a controlled manner, but it also had significant improvements in its heat shield, allowing it to reach orbit and deploy its first operational payloads on Flight 14.
So what about the Super Heavy?
