I have some ideas to modify a dutch pour so I am trying one out! I painted the base black, but instead of using black paint mixture as my base, I am using just a base of floetrol. Since it dries clear, I want to add my color to it and see if I can keep the color vibrant against the black background, instead of dulling it or making it muddy with black paint. It took much longer to dry and I think the floetrol was too thick, so I will try this again and thin the floetrol base down. Overall I do like it though because the colors stayed nice and vibrant but still moved when I used the blow dryer. I think the floetrol helped the paint move. I am calling this technique the Floating Dutch Pour!
