Tunis: A City Of Contrasts (Tunisia)

Tunis is the capital of Tunisia and has a fascinating history and culture!! In this video I explore Tunis, its historic medina, central market and the new French quarter (Ville Nouvelle), to see how its architecture, culture and neighbourhoods have been influenced by the native Berbers, Arabs, Ottomans, French, and a modern Tunisian identity in the modern day. I end my time in one of Tunis's beachside suburbs, La Marsa, which has a more European vibe, to see what direction Tunis is heading in today. Tunis is a vibrant North African metropolis which has a layered history and a rich culture as a result, I highly recommend visiting this incredible city!
