AI GeneratedThe Denver Broncos are showing positive momentum through offensive adjustments and strong locker room support for rookie QB Bo Nix. Despite injuries to Jonah Ellis, the team is leveraging roster depth and strategic scheduling to maintain their push for the top seed in the AFC, while rivals like the Ravens and Chiefs show signs of vulnerability.
Your Denver Broncos just get phenomenal news across the entire NFL
and on this stress-free
Sunday.
A ton of things that we wanted as Broncos fans
so that we can get that one seed in the
AFC happened and it is great news that we have to talk about.
If you're new here to this channel, I'm Ben.
I'm a diehard Broncos fan and it helps me in the algorithm out a ton.
If you love the Denver Broncos,
please smash that like and subscribe button.
We know Sean Payton and Jay Glazer are really good friends.
It was Jay Glazer who confirmed that Sean Payton
was in love with Bo Nix before the
draft that Sean Payton wanted to fly out
and be knocking on Bo Nix's door when Roger Goodell
called the Broncos up and they ultimately picked Bo Nix.
Well, Jay Glazer also comes out and kind
of affirms something we wondered here in Denver for a long time,
and that is that the play calling
and the offensive ineptitude we've seen over
these past two weeks are a lot due to the fact that Sean
Payton, when play calling was handed over to Davis Webb,
a bunch of terminology and things changed
about it and then Sean Payton took back play calling
on the Wednesday of a game week the
Broncos go out to LA to play the Chargers on a Sunday
so a really short turnaround and Sean
Payton tried to flip the terminology back
so it reminds you a lot of Michael Scott's vasectomy
where it's on and it's off and it's on and it's off
and it does get messy when you have situations
like that that is ultimately why I didn't want Sean Payton
to give up play calling in the very
first place because one of the huge advantages
the Broncos had going into this season was that
90% of our roster from last season was there.
And so lean into that advantage, have everyone on the
same page. Don't teach old people, new terminology,
like roll with what you got, roll with what you all
to the way to the AFC championship game.
But I think the glass half full I take on here is that
it'll be a lot easier to get guys remembering that old terminology.
Uh, and that is something
that is very doable on, uh, especially now with this mini bye-week.
And so the Broncos survived
two weeks of kind of new terminology under the gun.
And I'm excited to see what this Broncos
team does now after this mini bye
and after Sean kind of reflecting as to what has worked against
this Denver Broncos team. Other piece
of really good news we get here is one of the more plugged
insiders in the NFL is Tom Pelissero.
It's really him and Adam Schefter. And Pelissero came
out and basically shot down exactly what we heard
from Ryan Fitzpatrick about Bo Nix not being
competitive, not being respectful
of the quarterback position, not wanting to win,
and basically came out and said inside
that Broncos locker room, there is zero question
about Bo Nix's competitiveness, his drive,
or his ability to get things rolling again.
And so really, it's just like the Broncos
are not going to bench Bo Nix. You can just take that,
like that should go in one ear and out the other ear.
And really like this toxic nature that's
taken over Broncos country, we got to just ignore
that because as we saw with Will Lutz kicking that
field goal and shushing the home crowd.
The players really do hear our energy and let's not
manufacture controversy when there's no controversy there.
Nobody is getting rid of Bo Nix. And the
craziest part of that entire thing
was how much better Bo Nix played in that game than Sam
Darnold. And yet it's Bo Nix
who's getting lambasted on national TV by Ryan Fitzpatrick
when he's making a fraction of what Sam Darnold did
and didn't make any of the massive mistakes
Sam Darnold's making $33 million per year,
and Bo Nix is making a measly $4 million a year and
outplayed the Super Bowl champion from last season
and did not just cough the ball over
all the time. So there's absolutely no questions
in Denver in that locker room that Bo Nix is him
and he is that guy. And nationally,
there's also no question that the Broncos are going to bounce
back. So one of the big rumors right now
is that the NFL is actually going to be betting on the
Denver Broncos and flexing them back into a Sunday night football.
We know the Broncos were tied for third place when it comes to the most
national TV games,
which is really a great sign
that the NFL believes we're going to be a great
football team and really fun to watch.
And I think that LA Rams game proved them right,
that the Broncos are going to be competitive.
I think even just playing on Thursday
night football proved like the Broncos
aren't going to be walked over and they came out of that.
They're two and three here in primetime games.
And it seems as if the Broncos game here against
the Carolina Panthers actually might be flexed
in over the Chicago Bears.
So we saw the Tampa Bay Buccaneers,
another team that a lot of folks thought would just
walk through and win that division.
They're now sitting at one and five
and they're scheduled to play the Chicago Bears and nobody
wants to watch a, like a one in seven team on Sunday night football.
And so there's a real good chance
that the Broncos get an additional primetime game.
And I like the fact that like that's an 11 a.m.
start game going to the East coast
for the Broncos, which we've struggled with.
I think that's just a huge advantage. Put the spotlight on it.
Make this a game the Broncos players themselves can't just look past.
So really good news there that the NFL thinks like,
hey, we're going to be a pretty stinking good team.
other great news we got across the NFL here
is the the Baltimore Ravens have been a team I've
been scared of that's one of the teams I want nothing
to do with in the playoffs and that's
a team that I think had a real shot at getting
the one seed in the entire AFC because they were
cruising getting Lamar Jackson back
and this was just phenomenal to see them lose to the the
Browns for the first time since 2014
and that just really is going to make them winning out
getting that one seed much more difficult
and on top of that you're just seeing that this is one
of those teams who's kind of the opposite
of the broncos the broncos start slow and end strong
Broncos like leading the NFL
when it comes to fourth quarter comebacks and now you're seeing
here uh that that is the seventh double digit comeback
that the the um the baltimore ravens
have let up the most in the nfl since 2018
so really good news there for the broncos other
fantastic news we got is that i was rooting for the tennessee titans
because i desperately want
Jonathan Taylor to be on the trade block.
And so now you're seeing this team that we know has
this hovercraft owner who's on the sidelines taking notes.
And we know that's just a mess
there with the Indianapolis Colts.
And had they been winning, had they thought they had a shot
at that division, there's no way they move
on from Jonathan Taylor. But if you look at their
upcoming schedule, they have games against
a really good defense in the Vikings, games against
the Jaguars where you're going to Jacksonville,
not good game against the Cowboys who are still
in it so you could look at a world here where
the Indianapolis Colts are sitting at two and seven
and so the idea of a Jonathan Taylor trade much much bigger
on the table here and you're even
seeing their own creators come out
and say hey all of these players right here are on the table for
the Indianapolis Colts to walk away from and so yeah I would
be thrilled to death if somehow the
Broncos end up with Jonathan Taylor
and again it's just a great sign here when you're seeing their
own creators are the ones manufacturing this now it's
not us kind of wish casting that upon them
they're saying like hey you need to fire our GM how
that he's built this team is laughable uh and
you're seeing their own players kind of just saying i'm tired
of this same song and dance time and
time again and if the the colts do end up moving
on from Ballard that's a great sign that they would
maybe do a fire sale and you could go out
and get Jonathan Taylor because they don't they need to
rebuild this thing from the studs up they got
to knock everything down uh the fact that they paid
Daniel Jones all that money traded a bunch
of picks for Sauce Gardner uh and that that's just
great news here for the Broncos fans.
Now, Jonathan Taylor or not, the other option truly
might just be the fact that this week the Broncos
are going to get the guy I'm probably most excited
about in the backfield outside RJ Harvey.
And that is our boy Jonah Coleman. As we broke down
on this channel, he never actually was hurt enough
to have to go on the injured reserve.
But because of how Sean Payton plays this practice squad roulette game,
it works most of the time.
But the Broncos were in a position where we
were not going to have a long snapper active for a
game and if you unless you plan on not punting you need
your long snapper and so they had to
put Jonah Coleman on the IR even
though the initial injury he actually had that injury on
the first snap of that game played the rest
of the game looks phenomenal in the game so the great
news here is that he is going to be active back
on the roster this week against the Cardinals
and he would have been good to go like a week after
that injury we're now four weeks out so
I do not expect any lingering problems for him
and then an interesting thing here I'd love to
hear your comments in the comments down here below.
I read them all. Try to respond whenever
I have a second with four crazy kids who keep me really,
really busy, but I do read them all.
So Cam Scarbrough had a fumble in that end of the last game here
and it cost the New York Giants
a game. And you see a punishment from John Harbaugh
as he does not give the rock again to
Scarbrough the entire game. And he kind of came out and just said like,
hey, I need somebody to step
up and I'm trying to find the hot hand in this running back room
and nobody is stepping up and
wowing me. And I think that is maybe what we saw last week
from how Sean Payton gave the ball to
JK Dobbins. And that was his chance to wow coach Payton.
And I speak for myself here only, but I
was not wowed by that performance.
And so might we now see, uh, given the rock a bunch to Jonah
Coleman this week. And if we don't have anything there,
then I really think that's when you start
to, uh, pick up the phone and make calls on Tony Pollard,
pick up the phone, make calls on Jonathan
Taylor. But it's just an interesting thing here.
And just seeing Cam Scadaboo come out and be like,
yeah, I got punished for how I played last week.
Now, I don't like that leadership style. I think
ultimately, as we saw with his tenure with the Ravens,
that wears thin on players. So I like
that Sean Payton does not do this.
He does not put dudes in a doghouse. But I do think Sean Payton
can borrow this style. Like, hey,
feed the dogs and see who eats and see who seems the hungriest.
And if not, let's fail fast like you always do.
Other good news we got here is while
this game didn't go exactly how we wanted to, I
did not think the Kansas City Chiefs looked that impressive.
We know they're coming off of a bye week here
and Andy Reid's supposed to be amazing off
of a bye week.
And truly, I was not that impressed whatsoever
with Patrick Mahomes in this offense.
It felt as if the Chargers
were constantly giving them phenomenal field position and
they just don't look like an unbeatable team.
And I just could not believe the double standard here
in this game as Bo Nix looked way better
against the chargers in the, I watched three quarters of this game.
Bo Nix looked way better in those three
quarters than Patrick Mahomes looked.
And that is a team in the chargers
who are actually even more defeated and more like
out of this here than they were when they played us.
They've given up even more since then.
And I thought Bo Nix played better than Patrick Mahomes in this game.
And even the Broncos defense, like as,
as we look here, Herbert connect a really nice
deep pass here.
we didn't see any of this kind of stuff happen up against us
and uh Lad McConkey did play in this
game and um and i our Lad McConkey did not he suited up for this game
but he only played one
or two snaps and then had a concussion
so it's not like the the chiefs had this um you know a
tougher chargers team than we did uh
so all that's really really great news i think uh and then other
the last piece of great news we get is that i watched
a bunch of that patriots game because
that's another team that folks think uh might win the afc instead of us
but i'm telling you it's not
going to happen as we see A.J. Brown back into action.
And I just think like he's got a toxic
nature to him and just like he's that diva mentality
who wants to be fed the ball. And he
looks like Howie Roseman was correct in moving
on from him from the Philadelphia Eagles as he set a
record today for number of drops by a New England Patriot receiver
in one game. You just see multiple
really nicely thrown balls here
and and just does not come down with them. So I think all that is
really, really good news. The only bad piece
of news that we got this entire weekend truly was
the seeing this picture of Jonah Ellis
on the sideline here of the Utah Colorado game. And he
is clearly in, uh, not only a walking boot,
but also in crutches, which is what you hear that he
left the Broncos locker room in crutches after
the Thursday night game. Uh, good news here is
that like bye-weeks come in. I think the best news
in all of it is that we know that Jonathan Cooper
is, is coming back and Q Robinson has really come on with a vengeance.
And so of all the positions
that you can handle that type of loss.
It's this week here, as you know,
that Jonathan Cooper is going to be back in action.
And I think it's setting us up perfectly here
for the Broncos making major moves
as we continue to push for the one seed in the AFC.
And what's going to happen is y'all get a ton to believe in.
And the ball don't lie.
