Brooke discusses her pregnancy and the challenge of finding a unique name for her second child. She also shares behind-the-scenes experiences filming her new movie, \"The Iron Door,\" her favorite horror films, her humorous Halloween costume ideas, and her upcoming project as a producer for a female-led slasher film.
Brooke! How are you doing? Good!
Congrats on the baby! Oh, I'm so excited for you!
Thank you so much. Have you announced the name
or anything about it or are you keeping it secret?
No, we're actually having a surprise this pregnancy, so I don't know
if it's a boy or a girl and I cannot think of a name that I love yet.
Really? Okay, so are you going to be reading books
or looking on the internet or watching movies?
Where are you going to get your inspiration from?
I don't know, because I have a daughter already,
and her name is Vogue Valentine.
Oh, that's so pretty.
I just am obsessed with her name, so it's like,
I have to think of a name that, yeah,
is equally rare and cool as her name.
Right.
You don't want to give her just a basic name,
you know, that everybody has.
It can't be a common name.
Right, right.
Now, Halloween's coming up, and you just came out with The Iron Door.
Yes.
The premiere was amazing at the Chinese Theater.
I mean, can you talk a little bit about the movie, like making it?
What were some of your favorite scenes?
Yeah, I mean, we had so much fun making that film.
The whole film was just, it came together so quickly.
We basically got the movie script that weekend,
and we started filming on the Monday.
Wow.
And so for us actors, it was like a whole cold read.
And then going to set every day, they were writing new scenes.
They're like, oh, wait, this doesn't work now
because we've changed other things.
So you'd get to set, and you'd have like a whole six-page new scene.
And you're like, oh, you've got 10 minutes.
Right, right.
So a lot of the movie was like that, which was actually
so much fun because it just took away the pressure of,
yeah, planning and just trusting your instincts.
Right, right.
Now, let me ask you this.
Obviously, I've never filmed a movie before, but I've heard
that they don't film it in the exact order that it happens.
Like, do you film the ending scenes first, or how does that work?
Yeah, I mean, it's all over the place.
Like, it's never usually in order.
Okay.
And then it's like, when it's a cold read,
you're like, wait, how did we do that?
Because you didn't have a whole lot of time to prepare.
You're like, why are we here?
What's going on?
Just trying to remember how you, like, came from the last scene,
even though that was, you know, a few weeks ago or whatever.
But it was a fun challenge.
Okay, I like that.
Now, Halloween, also with Halloween,
what are some of your favorite scary movies?
Oh, well, obviously The Iron Door.
The Iron Door, of course, other than The Iron Door.
I mean, that's the biggest one right now.
Of course, of course, I'm just messing with you.
um and to be an obsession i know it's new okay it was so good
and focus focus of course it's
just another box okay do you do you like the uh
the ones where they the scary movie they're
actually called scary movies
but they make fun of it all those are pretty funny too i feel like i
grew up on scary movies like the scary movies right you know what
was really scary was the new

if you that one is wild but that one so what
are your plans for halloween this year are you going
to dress up are you going to stay in what
do you think well i really want to dress up

are you going to be crushing cans of beer on your
forehead hopefully yeah i just won't be able
to drink them oh okay okay all right well maybe maybe
you next time. Are there any other
projects that you're working on that the fans need to know
about? Yeah, I mean, I'm currently
in the early stages of
producing my first feature film, which is
a female-led slasher
film. Wow. Inspired by
an alter ego that I've had for many years.
Really? But, um,
yeah. Okay, so there's
big things in the work. Everybody just needs
to stay tuned and just kind of keep watching
what you're up to? Yeah. Alright, well
that sounds good. Well, I've got
to see this Stone Cold Steve Austin now.
That is so funny, I was not expecting you to say that.
And then there goes a guy with a bald hat on behind you.
But,
You know, see?
I know.
You've gotta be stone cold too.
I know, well it was so good seeing you today.
And check back in with us and let us know
about the baby name and how everything's going and all that.
So, it was so good to see you.
Thanks so much.
Thank you so much.
All right, take care.
You too.
Thank you.
Thank you.
