BREAKING : President Trump is weighing a strike on the single island that keeps Iran’s oil economy alive.

Israel Hayom, citing UAE outlet Erem News: President Trump is weighing a strike on the single island that keeps Iran’s oil economy alive.
American diplomatic sources say the president has discussed options with senior advisers, Pentagon officials, and the CIA to hit Kharg Island. Roughly 90% of Iran’s crude exports move through it. Storage capacity: about 30 million barrels.
On the table: oil tanks. Pipelines. Tanker loading facilities. Military sites on the island.
The reported goal is not a wider war. It is leverage. Force Tehran to drop its preconditions and accept talks on the nuclear program and reopening the Strait of Hormuz — before the November 3 midterms.
Hit Kharg and the fight stops being about the Strait. It becomes about cutting Iran’s oil revenue at the source.
Tehran has already said what that means. Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf: “If our security is not ensured, no infrastructure will be safe.” And: “In a region where Iran cannot sell oil, nobody will sell oil.”
