You've got to get in close. You've got to get in close.
You've got to flip the LCD out there.
Oh, so you can see what's going on.
Yeah, you've got to go between.
Joe here. I'm in Michigan today.
I'm going to spend a few days here
with some good friends.
We drove four of us in the car, and we're going
to meet about ten people here, so do some winter camping.
I got my sled, my big bruiser of a sled,
with my wood stove, my canvas tent, all that stuff.
So we've got three guys are gonna stay in the canvas tent.
Stay
tuned
for some
winter
camping.
I traded off the sled for a small backpack.
Pretty
good
deal.
We've got the old canvas tent set up.
See me, Doug, and Mike bunking in here.
And Mike's just getting snow all over my stuff,
so that's good.
I've never had whiskey before.
Thanks, bud.
You're welcome.
This is my area here.
Uh-huh.
You and Joe are over here.
Can I have that corner maybe?
We're sharing a sleeping bag.
Oh.
I'm gonna put a little hole in the stove.
They actually are super nice for hiking and stuff,
just in the snow they get a little...
He's got a different bottom though.
Oh, nice.
That's the one I'm getting.
Always on, eh?
All right, folks, this is an exclusive.
You're never gonna see this before,
you're never gonna see it again.
We got Doug outside, Mr. Scrambled, oof,
and Dustin, and this guy.
Look at this all-star cast right here.
Multiple dislikes for this one.
There's that guy too, he's been around for some of the...
You got to bring some good beers out tonight, huh?
You got to do it.
You got to do it.
You got to do it.
There's no way.
He only does it on his own.
Hold on.
You gonna teach me? Teach me.
Teach me how to do it.
Get in.
Get in close.
You want your eye in the corner.
Like here?
No, the other corner.
Right eye.
Yeah, like that.
You want to kind of just check out.
Uh-huh.
See what's going on.
Yeah, check in.
Check in.
And then you got to come back and kind of get your...
Pizza time.
What do you got going on there, Kyle?
Pizza time.
Mm-hmm.
There's fire.
Yeah.
This is a lot easier to control the heat.
I just poured way too much water in the dough.
How uncomfortable are you right now?
Who me?
Yeah.
On a scale of one to ten?
Yeah.
Seven?
Point seven?
He refuses to do it.
He's got to keep his own brand real.
One per video.
It's trademark.
But you never did it yet.
I did it.
You were trying to teach me.
You did it earlier on my video camera.
But you didn't do it on mine.
It's his thing.
We'll have to talk figures.
Kyle, the only one working like normal.
Hey Kyle.
I say, I say, Kyle, the only one worth me.
Let's do it in front of the other camp out.
Well, somebody's got to be the good-looking guy in front of the screen.
I'm in front of the screen right now.
Oh, never mind, then.
Null and void.
Oh, he does shine you in the eye with the light.
I need the LCD.
Okay, hold on.
We'll do it.
It needs reference.
So I've come to bed a little bit earlier than the other guys.
It's about 10:30 now.
And Doug and Mike are going to sleep there.
Doug's with the camo, Mike's with the blue, and I'm with the orange.
Those guys are still drinking and having fun,
but I'm going to bed and I'll see you in the morning.
Well, that was a good night's sleep.
Slept from like 10 till 8:30 in the morning,
so I don't even
know what to do.
So as it is on group meets, a lot of times,
people just kind of sit around the fire and talk,
and that's cool because that's what we're here for,
it's a social thing, but it's pretty damn cold,
and there's a lot of people sitting around a fire.
It's hard to get in, so I think Michael and I
are gonna get some firewood.
Got my axe, Mike's got his son's axe,
and we're gonna get some firewood
for the tent with the wood stove tonight,
so we can
actually sit
in it, hang out,
and be warm.
What is it?
River Tracker.
Is it your new canoe paddle?
It's my new anchor, boat anchor.
I didn't realize you had the same axe as me.
Hey?
I didn't realize you had the same axe as me.
It's heavy.
Yeah, heavy's not the word I'd use,
but whatever you,
wildlife?
I'm sure it's wildlife, and the tracker.
And which one's heavier?
Yeah, I thought so.
Is it really heavier?
Oh my goodness.
considerable difference
right yeah I'm not kidding
that's ridiculous it could
be that's ridiculous yeah for sure it's certainly
not like one's double the other
I think we're gonna go for a hike we got about six
or seven guys here and go on a
couple hour hike
and have some lunch down by the lake Kyle's got this really
cool rig for his camera oh you gotta
do it that wasn't slick okay one more
you're talking about all right all right
Kyle's got this sweet little dealie for
his oh look at that oh
and then there's Doug you guys ready go everybody poops
everybody peed
everybody's ready
to go walk on the trail
look like they're
being led lambs to the slaughter we made it
to the lake this is our destination
walking for about an hour those guys
are up up there way up there eating and
drinking and stuff so i wanted to come down
and show you the lake but i also i'm hungry and want
to eat some food
so that's what i'm gonna
do makes you trust me if i'm
in the woods and i see i wish
i have a pipe yeah you should you're not paid i
can't bite this on film oh did you forget your
dentures at home with your hearing with your
hearing aid boys it's a sasquatch freaking
danger doug over here
those white
pine branches
are uh brittle i got
you here you go so we're
back as you can see or maybe here seems like
a few more people showed up so i think i'm gonna
go say hi to the new guys just hang out by the fire for a bit
and then go split up my wood and
stuff for my wood stove but as you can see we got
another canvas tent behind me you got a hammock
there behind me and then just tons
of shelters everywhere everything
from tents to super shelters
and long fires in front from last night pretty cool it's nice
to see people enjoying themselves
out here lots
of people now
holy then you
threw it away
well we've cut
our firewood
stacked it
by the door got a nice little Canadian flag going
on means he's not invited half
let's go in and check it out oh you
stinky bastard we don't have that much
room in here we want to put about five
or six guys in here sitting tonight to
have a fire so we've packed all of our sleeping bags
and stuff right against
the back wall here only takes up about two
and a half feet wide we're gonna
light up this wood stove because these pansies are cold it's your idea
Two o'clock in the afternoon boys and girls.
So we're gonna use some birch bark
and pine twigs to start it and a lighter
That's the best way
At least you said it before someone on YouTube said it
Dustin from Alone. Oh
Let me guess Lane's over here. I can hear him. Yes
Yeah, right. You freaking choked me out like six times,
but it bruises your feelings are bruised
lawsuit against you because there's
so many people you beat up last night.
Nobody will believe that. What are you doing?
Just trying not to cut my finger off.
Best kind. Put it in, do what you're doing. You want me to talk?
What are you doing, Doug? Hey.
What are you doing, Doug? Mr. Scrambled-O, how to carve a little bear.
A little little bear. Oh.
Just use some
good force on it.
I don't want
that.
Right, right. But if you wanted, but you can also take,
if you want to do the, what's the next step?
Well, we might take a little bit more of his
moment you gotta get
right up in the camera
man we need
enthusiasm if you
turn on 10 minutes of
video by your stupid land oh
that jesus christ mike i'm less liking you less and less yeah well
it happens here we go okay go full
full out full out folks 10 out
of 10 checking in are you guys
still with me that was a bit much
so um scramble has been like oh that's helpful doug thank you
so much scramble those been like let me
do my checking in thing on your camera
like all weekend ridiculous
with your hair okay should I do does this look
better or worse a lot better hey
a good landing just roll relax Mike doesn't
have a channel
but he's way cooler than all of us come on Dustin use that man
muscles his hands are too small
so my first uh my first love for the outdoors was honestly
watching Fred Penner
when he crawled through the log Fred Penner Penner's place you know
it was on the point and Grizzly Adams
and Little House on the Prairie the first thing that really
got me doing the outdoor stuff
was friday after work i just lay around the couch and uh just
watched you know marathons the Survivor Man
and i felt like i was doing it you know i was sitting
there i was like barely like capable of getting off
the couch to get food so he was struggling
for food and so was i uh
when he would get his first drink of water i would feel it you know
right you'll hydrate of course
so we're talking 24 36 hours right ouch that was really my first
survival stuff i did but yeah the wood stuff came after
that because i wasn't getting any credit
or any respect for that.
Right, I hear you.
And now you're just respect all day.
Everything.
Doug, why did you like going to the woods to begin with?
You survive in the woods
with those tiny hands.
Mike, Mike.
Mike.
With your tiny hands and no up gloves that fit.
Custom gloves.
I just, my, both my parents grew up in a small town,
so I spent a lot of time camping, playing around on the farm.
Dustin, from many more things than alone,
don't go outside I'm too afraid
of the trees well I like you know getting out
being with nature alone away from idiots
and I'm stuck in a hot tent with five
morons that canvas tent man
illuminates alright guys
that's it had a good time
we got a long way to drive we got to get home
so we're just gonna pack up and get
up out of here thanks
for watching hope you enjoyed it I'll see you on the next one
