BTS V: Told the Dream Wasn’t His | A Documentary Film

Before BTS debuted, V was kept out of the public lineup. He later said he thought he had been cut from the team.

THE DREAM is a fan-made documentary about V of BTS, told through his interviews, family memories and the music he made along the way.

Raised by his grandparents in Geochang, Taehyung went to an audition just to watch. The film follows his trainee years, his introduction as BTS's hidden member and the loss of the grandmother who raised him. It returns to the difficult year of 2018, then follows his solo work and Layover, military service, and his return to BTS.

V remembers the phone calls home, the message from SUGA that helped him keep going, and learning to like the pace that made him different. Public interviews and archival footage sit alongside BeBossTV's narration and commentary.
