Astronomers Just Found Liquid on Saturn's Largest Moon

October 18, 2026
A world with clouds, rain, rivers, lakes, and even seas sounds like Earth, but it's actually one of Saturn's moons. It's called Titan, and it's the only moon in the Solar System with an atmosphere and real weather. For a long time, nobody knows what its surface looked like because thick orange clouds hid everything below. That changed when NASA's Cassini spacecraft reached Saturn and its radar saw straight through the clouds. It revealed rivers, giant sand dunes, huge lakes, and even seas.

Bright Side explores the unique geological and atmospheric features of Titan, Enceladus, and Io. The investigation details how tidal heating, volcanic activity, and subsurface oceans on these moons offer vital clues about potential life beyond Earth, while comparing these alien environments to early conditions on our own planet.
