Anti-CJP Protests Rage Across Connaught Place In Support Of PM Modi And Delhi Police

Anti-CJP counter-protests broke out in Delhi’s Connaught Place, where supporters loudly chanted “Modi Modi” and rallied behind both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Delhi Police. This came as the Cockroach Janta Party continued its campaign against alleged flaws in the special intensive revision of voter lists and called for Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar to step down. CJP’s planned “Lehra Do Tiranga” flag march at Central Park on 16 October met tight security, park closures, prohibitory orders, and multiple detentions, including of its founder. In reaction, local groups and pro-government voices staged opposing demonstrations, praising the police response and condemning the CJP protesters.
