A Blizzard in the Forest - Hot Tea in the Woods on a Cold Day.

Oh my god, he's a trip. Good boy. Guys, how you doing? Joe here, I'm with my buddy Scout. Yes, you're my buddy. We're just having a little walk in the woods today. I got my Hidden Woodsman Haversack with me. I got that full of some goodies. Just gonna have a little fire, have a little tea, just relax for a few hours out here. It's starting to snow, which is nice. Maybe I'll hike around and get some firewood. Get down. If you look here, you can see just how glazed over it is. Super dense, this is red oak. These are red oak twigs. And yeah, that's how dense they are. They're glazed right over on the cut. So that's why I climbed up there to get those. They're super dense. Those would be good fuel pieces. Leave them alone. If you're wondering why I said that these pieces, these small red oak pieces would be good fuel, and then I went and got out bigger pieces, is because this is Trembling Aspen, Scout Goat. This is Trembling Aspen. This does not create a good coal base. This is a very light wood, very styrofoamy, imagine wood. Scout's taking my good piece. I can't have my good piece, bro. Take my good hand. Anyways, so I'll cut these up, make some shavings out of this. But this dense oak will be my fuel. I'm going to use my firebox stove. I haven't used that in a while. It's snowing pretty good. I'm pretty happy about that. So I've got a lot of things in here for today. Everything I need for a hike. I've got a sit pad. Keep my little bum bum toasty when I'm sitting down. I've got a handkerchief to blow my nose, collect shavings with, pick up hot pots, whatever. got a little bit of toilet paper a little bit of wipes i've got my heavy cover canteen set with the lid my firebox stove my firebox stove fits in the sleeve in the back of this uh haversack really actually perfectly in this other pouch and then in the front zipper part i've got a snossage a thing for wiping my lens some tea and a granola bar like i said everything i need for of being out here for a few hours. I've also got a knife and a fire steel attached by a lanyard. Haven't used this thing in a while. There we go. Nice and easy like always. Ready to go. Going a bit here. Just a bit, man. My goodness. I gotta get some water boiling here, man. I'm freezing. I need a cup of tea. You guys using the old noggin, eh, Joe? There's using the stuff that came with it for that purpose. all right well i have to have to find my stuff now i've got a little dumping of snow watch out bud tea that's what i'm looking for told me she tried my tea here my david's tea and she told me it tasted like fish and i said what the heck are you talking about now every single time i try it that is the first taste i get in my mouth is fish when i drink this tea they all fish tea i'm freezing I'm about shivering now guys it's cold the wind is whipping through here this wool is not a good wind resistor it's uh I need like a shell over top of it but came out of nowhere so probably drink this up and hike around to warm myself back up fishy it actually is pretty fishy damn it damn it wife influential wife uh wind is picking up guys even stronger fish water feels good in my stomach so this is the first time you guys have seen me with this hidden woodsman haversack I've had one in the past a little bit different was his older model this is newer model actually really nice I'm teaming up with the hidden woodsman Malcolm this year I'm gonna be working a lot together he's actually selling my patches so there's my patch on the front there he's got he sewed that on for me a nice guy I got his patch on the inside rep it us both he's actually selling my patches now if you wanted a green patch you can order off his website thehiddenwoodsman.com um but i do have the the gray and black right now but go over to his site check out these hit these haversacks too guys you can carry everything you need as you saw uh for a day hike in the woods there's even a an axe sleeve in the back here i think i'm going to do this an overnighter out of this thing but um yeah go over to his site help him out check him out he's a he's a uh small american business you know i mean he works by himself we might have couple people he hired now but uh great dude just a great guy i really like him support him oh what do you say scooter what do you say go on a little hike get out here hey my bud i like these little twig stoves for this reason i mean this is my this is my uh my footprint it's no big deal i keep going i can even kick snow or mud around just disperse that even more but it's nothing so this is already cooled down fit this back in my pouch this is a hidden woodsman pouch as well it fits it perfectly alright folks well I think I'm gonna pack up now get on out of here go home edit this video get warmed up freezing cold I hope you enjoyed it I have a couple big videos coming up guys I haven't forgot about that this is just in the meantime so I will be posting a long winter camping trip video and possibly a preparation video for that trip I I appreciate the views, I appreciate the comments, the likes, all the love I've been getting lately.
