Alberta's Finlay Knox swims to World Cup silver in Astana

Away here the men's 100 IM final superstars across the pool expect fireworks to be set off as we go through this butterfly sensational swimming across the field. Who leads through the fly it's Shane Casas there he is bottom of screen really working those underwaters and that's exactly where Luke Barr gets his advantage as well so Barr at the top of the yellow lanes in lane three he gets his hand on the wall first and his back to breast turn is truly world class now we're getting into his favorite leg the breaststroke leg it's Barr ahead of Kolesnikov he's stroking out in front Luke Barr can he get the job done here well he's out in front by 0.28 knots please the charge Kolesnikov in for third and Shane Cas is sensational on that final turn they're breathing to each other but Luke Barr's got the answers as he comes across the finish line to crown himself the champion 51.98 he's got a cut but he's got the dog in this fight he gets the win luke bar has arrived big time finish there for luke bar he takes the first crown of his career 51.91 it's slower than the previous two stops but that's where racing is that was a dog fight through the freestyle leg the challengers were coming at him they wanted to bust his crown and after missing in the 200 breaststroke that will be a race that he will always remember in the emerging career here of luke bar not much separated them through the fly Casas led he went for it from the start you've got to give him credit for that Kalashnikov was there but at the breast of the free bars under waters and then he just goes in the shoulder driven freestyle just throwing the arms in front and how's this for a celebration give me the crown give him the money what a result Luke Barr arrived in Baku and then named the city after himself he's delivered since then Knox in second Cassis in third but this moment belongs to the man on the microphone next to John Mason it's Luke Barr time
