I'm extremely proud.
It never feels good to lose
and not accomplish your goal to win the World Series.
And it started back in the early part of February.
And I love this team and what we had to go through.
And it's one of those things that every night we take the field,
people are bringing their best to beat us.
And with that, this series,
I can't give enough praise to the Brewers organization
and, you know, the baseball ops with Matt Arnold and his staff
and Pat Murphy and his staff and how they got those guys to play.
And they played flawless.
They really did.
I think for me, it never feels good to lose.
But when you get beat, you can handle it a little bit better.
But, you know, I had a good conversation with the guys in there
and just told them, you know, how proud I was.
And I'm not used to those speeches, those consolations,
but it was a long season it was still a good season
and you know the thing about sports
that we all love is no matter how much you prepare you want it there's
no guarantees and that's the
great thing about sport is the unknown
and so with that we just got beat in four games well you know
i mean the homer was great
um obviously he ended up striking out three times but it was a big hit
big three-run homer gave us a big lift
and i'll always trust Shohei i mean i think he's the best
player on the planet and he's not completely healthy
so but i just give him a lot of respect
for not running from it still wanting
to participate still wanting to play when he's
not 100 percent and um like i said before it's all
of us it's not one player that didn't come through
um it was all of us you know
but i'm really impressed with what Shohei did yes we'll finish
up with Buster on the left side Dave how would you describe
the emotion Shohei had on that home run
it was something that you don't see very often
from Shohei i think it was a lot of pent-up
anger frustration and so you know it
was the best ball he hit in probably two three months
so uh and it was a big hit
and so i think that for him to look at the dugout show that emotion
just shows how much he cares you know he's still human he still cares
and you know wants to help
his team win a baseball game
and that was a big hit all right Dave thanks for your time and
congratulations great season thank you guys
