The Fionn Saga is one of the oldest, strangest of Gaelic Sagas: it is also one of the best remembered, for to this day in Gaelic-speaking Scotland and in every part of Ireland, Finn McCool is a household name. He is giant-big in the minds of the old folk and the children. Story-tellers can recite long poems in intricate metre all about Fionn and Usheen and Keeltya and the others. This was a Newberry Honor winner in 1930. - Summary Adapted from the Foreword
