The Early Linguistic History of Britain

Following the unparalleled success of my Pictish video, I've decided to continue the theme of the British Isles and investigate their deep linguistic history.
Due to its mineral resources and position on the Atlantic coast, Britain has been woven into trade networks stretching across continental Europe, Africa and the Middle East for a LONG time.
If you were a visiting merchant to Albion, what languages or language families would you have encountered?
Well, it's a tricky question to answer. Much has been written about it in the literature, some reasonable stuff, other bits quite far-fetched. I've tried to extract the most justified positions and present to you a rough linguistic chronology of Britain, and by extension Ireland too, since the two islands are so interconnected.
