All right, what's going on guys, take a look
at this beautiful old abandoned house we have right in
front of us. We're going to go inside here today
and we're going to check this one out. We're going
to head on inside and take some pictures, do a video walk through
and see what this beautiful
abandoned house looks like from the inside. Let's go.
Okay guys, here we go, we're inside and you can
get a nice look here at what I'm guessing was like
the living room. Nice French windows, crown molding
pretty nice looking house guys, you've got the nice
medallion here from the light fixture, looks like
original windows hardwood floor
nice looking place guys, super nice
looking place, looks like we've got
a couple of bedrooms
here, nothing in them
though, on we go
into the kitchen
more like probably
dining room I think, I don't know actually
because the kitchen's way back there so maybe this was the
dining room here and this looks like it probably had a wood stove
so maybe this was like a living
room area, I hope maybe I'll be able
to find some pictures online from over the years, we'll see if
someone somebody lived here
so we can kind of put the pieces together guys to figure out what room
was used for what, pretty good light in here
though eh, looking good, I like it, that's where we'll go
upstairs in a little while, there was some kind
of a thing on the wall here, I wonder if we could make
up what that was, hmm, bathroom
storage, so like I said I believe
this here is probably the dining
room and I say that because
this right here is the kitchen guys
pretty small kitchen there's your
side door let's go upstairs all
right we'll head up these stairs
and then we'll come down the other
stairs just
a few rooms up here guys
a lot of light in this room
though three nice big windows
lots of light two
bedrooms up here just
a small room right here
big window here lots
of dead flies
and another bedroom here lots of nice light
in here here's an interesting feature there's a hole
in the floor here probably from when there
was at one point a pipe that came up here from the wood
stove to heat the house
but they eventually boarded over it
because they didn't need it
here are two photos that were found laying around here
on the floor looks like just a dad
and a little one and mama and a little one right
there there's a bathroom here not much to see oh
i left my sunglasses in here
and that's it and then we go down
these stairs and it takes us back
to what i originally thought
was the living room okay guys i'm hesitant to do this because i don't
like to do this but we will check out the basement even
though i'm pretty sure it's probably just
nothing but we'll go down and check it out since we're here together
but i don't think there's
going to be anything down here
nothing nothing very damp down
here oh that's it as usual guys
there's nothing in the basement
out here on a quiet country road
one house is still standing
while the farms around it disappear
this is the William Brignall house in the mid-1870s William
Brignall built the first part of this home
a red brick farmhouse at the edge of his fields a few
Few years later, in the early 1880s,
a new owner named John Toole expanded it into the
T-shape you see today.
The kitchen wing at the back came later, probably in the early 1900s.
Look closely at the brickwork.
Those cream-colored buff bricks set into the red were laid on purpose.
Coins running up the corners,
rounded arches over every window, and a checkerboard pinwheel
tucked under the front peak.
Then there's the woodwork,
with carved bargeboard dripping from the gables and delicate fretwork
along the veranda. This was a working farmhouse,
and someone still wanted it to be beautiful.
You'll notice two front doors.
They're a clue that two families, or two generations,
shared this house at the same time.
In the 1970s, the province expropriated thousands
of acres of farmland here for a planned city
that took decades to arrive. Many of the homes
simply emptied out. Now that city is finally being built,
and the old farmhouses are vanishing
one by one. This one survived
because in 2018 it was designated a protected heritage property.
Its doors are boarded now.
The fields around it are becoming streets. But for now the Brignall
House still faces the road the way it has for 150 years.
A last reminder of the farm
country that came before.
Okay guys there you have it.
That's what this house looks like on the inside. Hope you guys
enjoyed it. Lots of nice natural light
and I'm hoping that I was able to find some
pictures of when it was lived in so that we can see how it
was decorated how it was done up and
how it was used so my guess here guys
is this whole neighborhood it's going to be developed
and there's about four houses on this whole street
that are probably um considered heritage
property so they can't be torn down
and they have to be reused somehow or reincorporated into the
subdivision so time will tell guys what's going
to happen with this house and the other ones up
the street so you guys know what
to do drop a like drop a comment share the
video and if you're here for the first time
and you like abandoned houses just

next time peace
