The Exorcist: Martyrs (2027) | Official Trailer | Universal Pictures
A serial killer is dead, but the evil behind his crimes may only be beginning in The Exorcist: Martyrs (2027), a terrifying new chapter in The Exorcist universe from writer-director Mike Flanagan.
The film follows New York City detective Julie Miller, who became a hero after bringing satanic serial killer Father Sunday to justice thirteen years earlier. When a new killer leaves Julie’s name written in an altar boy’s blood inside a church crypt, she is dragged back into the nightmare she thought was over. With help from former prison chaplain Father William and rookie detective Gina Restrepo, Julie begins uncovering a disturbing connection between generations of killers and a darkness that may be far more than human. Starring Scarlett Johansson, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Sasha Calle, John Leguizamo, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Carla Gugino, Hamish Linklater, Kate Siegel, and Rahul Kohli, The Exorcist: Martyrs blends supernatural horror with a grim serial-killer investigation.
