Horsch investigation: Excavation continues at Philadelphia home linked to missing women

That coming up in just a little bit as well. But first, we need to get back to one of the top stories we've been following now for weeks. The excavation process has begun at that what's being called the House of Horrors, Chew Avenue home in Olney. What's the latest on the investigation? Well, let's get right out to Kelly Rule on the scene for us this morning. Kelly. Hey, Thomas, that excavation process began yesterday. I can tell you police and the FBI are back here again today. Appears they're taking a break right now. now, but we know that after using heavy machinery to excavate in the backyard and take down the shed yesterday, law enforcement sources tell me police and the FBI are now digging in the backyard where that shed was and are continuing to sift through the dirt to see if they can find any human remains. Investigators are literally going through by hand. It's certainly a tedious process. I'm told the way this is going, they may not be able to excavate the front of the property until tomorrow which could mean they will be working through Friday possibly into early next week but this is the final phase of work happening here at 417 West 2 Avenue as you know last week they completely cleared out the home taking items that they will hold for evidence items that will require testing and throwing away other items then on Monday night investigators sprayed luminol a chemical compound that glows with a bright light and can reveal microscopic or cleaned up blood stains and law enforcement sources tell me it was successful and there were positive luminol indicators meaning that they might have found some DNA that is still awaiting testing so it is unclear if that DNA is connected to any of the seven missing women connected to the home which of course is their goal here that's what they're hoping to find the house as we've reported belongs to Raymond RC Horish, a pornographer known for dark graphic content who died last year his son Eugene Horish was arrested in Old City during a traffic stop in June which led to the investigation of the home. And again, as for the seven missing women tied to the property, police believe five of them are deceased based on what they have seen in more than one million pictures and videos recovered from inside. Law enforcement sources tell us what investigators reviewed in that digital evidence has played a big part out here. And obviously, they're still going through that as we speak, but it's played a big part in much of the search, including items that were brought out of the home last week and where they sprayed the luminol as well. So again, the excavation continues here. Thomas and I will continue to keep you guys posted throughout the day as they continue to do this tedious work in the backyard. All the resources out there from excavation to the K9 units. All right, Kelly, we certainly do appreciate the update. It is 12.03 here. Let's take you around the world.
