I'm Jay Carter and today we are at the Resilience Under Pressure event.
Come along with me to understand why this event today is so important.
We have mental health professionals from the New York City area.
We have many of our supporters
here. We have professional leadership here from Israel
and several of our American Friends of
Natal board members here for the day.
We have about 200 professionals here to learn about PTSD,
about couples' therapy and trauma
and about the place of community
when we are coping with trauma.
Because being alone with trauma is unbearable.
Natal is working for so many years
to improve therapy,
to learn new ways to adapt ourselves
to the changing needs of reality.
Usually we put on the face,
you know, that we're okay,
we're fine we're functioning
and actually we're not so being sensitive to one another
is really important knowledge to understand
that suffering from trauma events is a long process
and if i'm a part of a community i feel safe i feel
that i have my people to turn to and
And if I'm alone,
it can be even dangerous for people who suffer from PTSD.
The seminar is really a kickoff,
starting off with showing off our knowledge
and moving into an event in Miami in early November
and our annual gala this November 10th in New York City.
