'No reason not to be confident' - Rays boss lauds Peralta's arsenal in series-tying performance

He's been pretty confident in a lot of reasons why, just given the month that he put together in September and the previous start against the Yankees. I think the velocity really stood out today. I don't know for a fact, but it felt like that might have been his highest velocity we've seen. He had to have been averaging or carrying 97-plus. There were some 98s, 99s in there. But when you have that arsenal, no reason not to be confident. go into you know a challenging place to play uh we played there not too long ago in the postseason that's as good as atmosphere as you're gonna see you know they've got a great fan base that is gonna be behind their team uh like to think that we can you know carry our momentum into there and just play good baseball on get for game three i had the feeling yeah you know i was able to you know i don't like to to step off of the game you know but i just enjoy the moment uh because he it was a really good about it was a it wasn't an easy game uh since the first pitch that i threw until the last one uh it was a lot of competition between me and the hitters because they were like i said uh they were uh tough to face they were really really good very disciplined on the play and i think that it was a very uh difficult challenge for me and i think that that was That's why I was fired up like that.
