‘Very, very challenging’: Trump’s delivery of war strategies faces severe roadblocks

The Foreign Desk Editor-in-Chief Lisa Daftari claims the media is not depicting the war in Iran and US President Donald Trump’s message as he continues to fight against the Iranian regime.

“The way that the media is portraying this war, and politicians, unfortunately on both sides, are not really explaining this war well, not understanding the war well, not having the patience to see this through as a long-term goal for our national security,” Ms Daftari told News24 Digital Presenter Gabriella Power.

“[Donald Trump is] trying to establish deterrence with the Iran regime, making them know that he’s serious about containing them even though he has had a pause in bombing; it’s not a pause on the pressure campaign … the sanctions remain, the blockade remains, his rhetoric and deterrence remain.

“Trying to deliver that message both to the Iran regime and to his constituents here at home has been very, very challenging … the media is … not helping.”
