How 300 Spartans Held Off 1,000,000 Persians - Battle of Thermopylae 480 BC
In 480 BC, the colossal Persian Empire mobilized the largest invasion force antiquity had ever witnessed. Over one million soldiers and twelve hundred war galleys led by King Xerxes descended upon Greece to extinguish the flame of freedom forever.
Standing in the narrow mountain corridor of Thermopylae was King Leonidas and a tiny royal vanguard of three hundred Spartan citizens, supported by seven hundred loyal Thespian allies. Bound by sacred law never to retreat, they transformed the Hot Gates into an immovable bronze wall that broke the elite Immortals, humiliated an empire, and bought precious time for the survival of the Western world.
This is the definitive, feature-length 3D military documentary of the Battle of Thermopylae (480 BC). Experience the grueling tactical duel across all three days of combat, the infamous betrayal of the Anopaea mountain trail, the final stand on Kolonos Hill under the legendary arrow storm, and the immortal legacy of Sparta.
