In this video, we follow the extraordinary life timeline of Jon Brower Minnoch - the American man recognized as the heaviest person in medical history.

Born in 1941, Jon experienced severe obesity from childhood. At the age of 12, he already weighed approximately 133 kilograms, and his weight continued increasing throughout his life.

In 1978, Jon was admitted to a hospital in Seattle while suffering from serious heart and respiratory problems. Doctors estimated that he weighed more than 635 kilograms - approximately 1,400 pounds.

Moving him to the hospital required twelve firefighters and a specially prepared stretcher. Inside the hospital, two beds had to be connected, and thirteen people were needed to turn him over.

Despite his medical difficulties, Jon tried to live an ordinary life. He worked with a taxi company, married, and became the father of two sons.

During nearly two years in the hospital, Jon followed a controlled diet and reduced his weight to approximately 216 kilograms — one of the greatest documented weight losses in history. Unfortunately, his condition later worsened.

Jon Brower Minnoch died in 1983 at the age of 41. His extraordinary medical case and world record remain remembered today.

From childhood and family life to his record-breaking weight, hospitalization, dramatic transformation, and final years, this timeline follows Jon Brower Minnoch through the years.
