Where Architecture Meets the Forest

Nature House
Nature House

Set within the misty landscape of Qingshuiyan Ancestral Hall in Anxi, Quanzhou, this renovation transforms an abandoned bus station into a quiet architectural retreat surrounded by ancient trees, rocks, and forest.

The Qingshuiyan Ancestral Hall Supporting Facility Renovation preserves the site's existing trees and natural terrain while introducing tea houses, vegetarian dining spaces, rest areas, and multi-functional spaces. Local bluestone, Minnan red brick, fair-faced concrete, timber, and traditional roof tiles connect the new architecture with the region's cultural heritage
