Dahlias Are Taking Over_ September Flower Farm Tour

#lifestyle #home #flowerfarmer

After weeks of drought, the farm is finally bouncing back. In this September flower tour I'm walking you through what survived, what struggled, and what's about to peak before the frosts hit.

We start with the snapdragons that flushed a second time after I chopped them right back, then head into the field to see how the annuals held up through the heat. The dahlias are just getting going and about to ramp up hard. I'm also showing you a few filler flowers I've been experimenting with to solve my usual end-of-season gap, including one variety a viewer recommended to me.

Also in this one: the pumpkin patch update, some surprisingly late foxgloves, a couple of cover crops doing double duty as flowers, and a look at what I'm picking for the farmers market this weekend.

Let me know in the comments how your season's gone. Was it the drought everywhere, or just here?
