Thirty years after claiming he experienced an alien encounter at 10 years old, Carl Merryweather is a man obsessed. Convinced that the "Skyman" is returning for him, Carl decides to document his attempt to reconnect with the UFO at the exact same desert location on his 40th birthday. He recruits a documentary filmmaker to capture the event, but as the fated day approaches, his obsessive behavior begins to worry his family and friends. This found-footage sci-fi thriller from the co-director of The Blair Witch Project blurs the line between profound belief and dangerous delusion.
