How to spend the perfect weekend in Ottawa 🇨🇦

People often accuse Ottawa of being a boring destination but in this travel guide I’m going to show you the very best of Canada’s capital, including green spaces, top attractions, and hidden gems.

We’ll begin our time in the city by exploring Parliament Hill and downtown where many of the world class museums and monuments are located. We’ll then head to some fantastic wildlife spaces, including the Ornamental Gardens, Riverside House, and Mer Bleu.

Ottawa is also a great gateway to the rest of Ontario and so we’ll also head out on a day trip to the Lanark Highlands where we’ll sample local maple syrup in Ontario’s capital of maple syrup and explore the heritage town of Perth.
