INTO the HIGHLANDS for the first time | ICELAND

We really struggled during our first few weeks in Iceland, but now we are finally getting to what we came for: driving the F roads in our Land Rover Defender. Away from the tourists, into the Icelandic highlands. We are doing our first river crossing and slowly building up from a small one to one of the most notorious river crossings in Iceland. We drive the F249 to Þorsmork, the F232 to Blafjallafoss, and the F208 to Landmannalaugar. All amazing in their own way! We end our final week on the ring road through the south of Iceland and visit a few more beautiful hotspots. We finally understand why Iceland is so popular.
